131/23.4 To consider the Budget Comparison Report as at 29 February 2024 and determine action needed to address deviations from the budget.
The Clerk submitted a written report there will be an underspend at year end (£28391.84) mainly due to BDSSA budget this will have to transfer to allocated reserves. The Clerk will present a recommendation at the April meeting of general surplus to be transferred to the deposit account and allocated to general reserves.
Point noted and request clerk to make the necessary arrangements.
132/23`VILLAGE MATTERS
132/23.1 Community Plan
The council await update on position from Cllr Pratt on both footpath and beach
132/23.2 Toilets
Despite changes to drainage paper blockage still occurred. This has been rodded and cleared by local handyman. Handyman has requested a key to access toilets.
132/23.3 Monk Moor Telephone Box
Cllr Woodcock reported – Now working but appeared not to have mains power – Electrical Installation certificate still outstanding – has been told that this is a battery unit and mains power may not be required. Cllr Woodcock to liaise with Clerk to clarify.
Defib is a locked unit with access code. Resolved to leave code in the box to ensure the defib can be accessed at any time.

No response since letter confirming purchase price
132/23.5 Bootle in Bloom
Cllr Faulkner obtained quotes and to check with Clerk how to procure and progress.

Meeting updated on feedback from developer and national park. Awaiting official output from LDNPA.

Cllr Read to confirm spec and send clerk email by weekend to allow procurement to proceed.

Drainage and resurfacing works at Millholme. Council to formally request update from Cumberland as to what work been completed and what is still to complete.
Road and kerb work apparently to be completed this month.
Bench – Agreed to replace and remove at Main Street by Palm Trees and between Bootle Station and Hycemoor and remove the remaining concrete seat structure at Wellbank.
Cllr Duck to obtain two prices for plinths removal and installation for items above.
Private reversing mirror broken by contractors during works at Millholme agreed not for council to progress – Cllr Duck to liaise with owner and suggest they first make contact with Cumberland
Dog waste bins requested along Millholme – clerk to request price from Cumberland for provision and confirm if any waste disposal costs will be incurred to allow decision at the next meeting.
