153/22 Village Matters

153/22.1 Community Plan
Broadband – National Plans to increase availability throughout Cumbria
Footpath – Cllr Faulkner reported that he had been in contact with Nicola
Parker lead on Infrastructure in Active Travel.

153/22.2 Toilets
Trial cleaner unable to undertake tasks. Temporary cleaner who has cleaned
to a excellent standard to continue as permanent position. A Relief Cleaner
also sourced to cover when needed.

153/22.3 Monk Moor Telephone Box
Paint ordered
Clerk reported that an application had been made to to Copeland Community
fund which had been rejected.

153/22.4 Allotment Field
Final report submitted to claim balance of monies owed. WCRT to maintain
for 1 year. £250 per annum to be accrued for on going maintenance

153/22.5 Hycemoor – request to purchase land
Clerk to source a solicitor to undertake legal transfer.

153/22.6 Coronation
An application for event funding had been received from the WI. Agreed in
principle, application to be resubmitted on confirmation of details. PC to
provide mugs for the children of the parish.

153/22.7 Standing Orders
The amended Standing Orders were approved

153/22.8 Annual Parish Meeting
26 April 2023 – agreed date for the Annual Parish Meeting

153/22.9 May Elections
The Clerk informed the councillors of cut off dates and procedures for
candidates

154/22 Reports from representatives on outside bodies and working groups
Clerk gave feedback from the South Copeland Partnership that she attended
A presentation was given re the new Cumberland Unitary Authorities vision for
Parish and Town Councils.

Eric Barker gave a presentation on proposed art /sculptures to be located
within the surrounding parishes. The clerk expressed the councils view that
the proposal was inappropriate.

The next meeting to be held at the Chapel Meeting Room Bootle on Wednesday 12
