Mr McCarron, Cumbria Highways outlined plans for the resurfacing of the A595 from north of The Byre to Mill St. Work expected to commence end of February for 7-10 nights. Dates to be confirmed nearer the time and will be published. Publicity via a public drop in session being considered by County Council
The Chair asked for speed signage to be reviewed from the village to Bootle Station. Mr McCarron to take to CRASH meeting

Request for future speed monitoring through the village on the A595 to coincide with Sellafield traffic and peak times to gain a true representation of the perceived issue.

A donation had been received from CGP for £2000 towards the cost of the removal of waste collected by volunteers at Annaside. Resolved that the Parish Council would meet any shortfall and seek compensation from Copeland BC for failure to undertake their obligations re the removal of waste.

Cllr Faulkner reported that Cumbria CC are extending Broadband improvements throughout the county, under Government ‘Project Gigabit’ scheme. Not clear if it will include Bootle.
Clerk reported that contractor had been contacted re water heater, as yet not installed. Clerk to progress with contractor to ensure timely installation for the winter period.
