A representative of the Wellbank development gave an update on progress of the scheme. An amended planning application had been submitted regarding the proposed hub and swimming pool, with completion hoped for by December 2026.
Cllr Kenworthy raised concerns regarding water and debris flowing from the site onto the new footpath and road and requested progress on linking the footpath to the station.
The Chair thanked the representative for the report.

Replacement of existing pavilion with new fit-for-purpose building and addition of an indoor training barn for community use.

Children from Captain Shaw’s School assisted LDNP Rangers in planting 1,500 hedgerow plants along the footpath. Clerk to write letter of thanks.
Awaiting permission to connect to surface drain. Overhanging tree requires removal. Clerk to obtain contractor quote.
New tenant appointed. Installation of grab rails and toilet seat for disabled toilet to be completed by end of February.
Community woodland hedgerow planting completed.
Cllr Duck reported litter issues between Holmrook and Whitbeck and raised concerns with Michelle Scrogham MP.
Clerk to contact Cllr Pratt regarding signage and bin suitability.
Cllr Kenworthy raised ongoing issues with Stubbs Place beach road and lack of action from Cumberland Council.
No response received from Cumberland Council.
No responses received to vacancy advertisement. To be addressed at Annual Parish Meeting.
Resolved to accept Forepoint proposal to produce village map. Cllr Duck to photograph key points.

Resolved to request traffic calming scheme on A595 through the village.
Railway engineers inspected water issues at railway bridge and planned installation of height sign.
Defibrillator battery and thermal bag arrangements being progressed with Community Heartbeat.
Planning application submitted and acknowledged. CCTV inspection required for culvert drainage suitability.
