29/23.4 To consider the Budget Comparison Report as at 31 May 2023 and determine action needed to address deviations from the budget.
Cllr Kenworthy reported that bracken growth was impacting on the footpaths in the Woodland project. He had received 2 quotes for it to be managed and the Council resolved to accept the quote of £150. Cllr Kenworthy requested that the £200 allocated reserves for the Woodland Project be used to undertake the works.

30/23`VILLAGE MATTERS
30/23.1 Community Plan
Footpath – to be raised within sustainable travel by Cumberland Council
30/23.2 Grass Cutting – School Field and Church yard
The Clerk raised the issue that the Parish Council did not have the power to pay for the cutting of the School Field and the Churchyard. The Council has an existing contract with a contractor which expires 31 March 2025. It was resolved that the Clerk to write to the school and church explaining the situation and suggesting that they make provision in future budgets to cover their grass cutting costs.
30/23.3 Monk Moor Telephone Box
The box has been painted and cleaned out by a member of public. A letter of thanks to be sent.
Funding has been approved for the purchase of a box for the defib and replacement pads. To be ordered.
30/23.4 Hycemoor – request to purchase land
Awaiting contact from solicitor
30/23.5 Representative for new Regional Council
Cllr Dunn to represent the council. The footpath from Bootle to Bootle Station and transfer of asset ie car park and installation of EV point were agreed to be the most pertinent projects to be raised at this forum.

Withdrawn and back out for consultation
30/23.7 Consultation – Changes to Housing Supplementary Document – LDNP
Council resolved to support for Primary Residence to be included as a condition of planning.

BDSSA – Cllr Kenworthy reported that funding had been approved in principle and was awaiting being signed off. £20k to be released July, balance in October. It was noted that the Clerk’s salary element had been removed from the grant funding, Cllr Kenworthy has raised this with Cllr Pratt.
