An application for £1500 funding for a joint community Jubilee event had been received

15/22 Village Matters

15/22.1 Community Plan

Footpath – Cumbria CC investigating possible route

15/22.2 Toilets

The cleaner had found a relief cleaner for whilst on holiday in June.
Toilets blocked again by overuse/malicious use of toilet paper

15/22.3 Monk Moor Telephone Box

A quotation had been received to fix the door and was approved
Cllrs Faulkner and Woodcock to apply for funding for a defibrillator for the phone box and paint.

15/22.4 Hycemoor Fencing

The Clerk is awaiting a quotation

15/22.5 Allotment Field

Cllr Kenworthy reported that the decision on the funding had been deferred until June 2022 as there were some points raised at the board meeting that requiring clarification. Cllr Kenworthy arranging meeting with South Copeland GDF to determine what the points are and what level of response is required. A query had been raised at the Annual Parish meeting with regards to ownership of additional land. Clerk to contact Common Land Registry for Common land maps and ownership.

15/22.6 Queens Jubilee

School co-ordinating a community event

15/22.7 Play areas/Football field

The Clerk raised concerns re the acknowledged poor state of the play area located on the Football field and the BMX track. BDSCC to be reminded that they have sole responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of the sports field facilities

15/22.8 GDF – Community Partnership

CALC represent the Parish Council on this group.

15/22.9 Annual Parish Meeting

Councillors were disappointed with the turnout of the meeting and continue to actively seek to co-opt new councillors.

16/22 Reports from representatives on outside bodies and working groups

17/22 Correspondence

All correspondence has been previously circulated. The following had been received:

  • None

18/22 Councillor Matters

  • Cllr Kenworthy reported that he had an expression of interest from a parishioner in becoming a councillor. The individual was advised to submit an email to the Clerk to formally apply for consideration
  • Cllr Faulkner wished to be nominated as Parish Representative on the LDNP – agreed

19/22 Next Meeting

The next meeting to be held at the Community Room Bootle Fire Station on Monday 13 June 2022 at 7.30pm.
