31/25`VILLAGE MATTERS

31/25 Community Plan

Cllr Crozier made modifications to the draft questionnaire and to circulate amongst councillors for approval prior to circulating via website and Facebook. Clerk to print copies off to be placed in shop

31/25.2 Footpath Wellbank/S106 monies

Cllr Kenworthy reported that works were currently being undertaken to upgrade the public rights of way. .Awaiting decision on funding application for roadside path.

31/25.3 Hycemoor Field

The contractor could find no evidence of an existing drain. Clerk to contact Cumberland to seek permission to put a new land drain into an existing surface water drain.

31/25.4 Environment Issues

None

31/25.5 Car Park by Toilet block

The Clerk had received correspondence with regards to the grass land attached to the car park which is being offered for lease. To accept offer but refuse to take on car park in current state.

31/25.6 Village map

Deferred until the future of Summerhill is clearer.

31/25.7 Matters raised at Annual Parish Meeting 15 May

Clerk to chase up those matters that Cllr Pratt was to investigate.
Village Magazine – To seek regular correspondent to put articles in Parish Magazine
Events – Organisations can apply for funding to PC for events including all village.

32/25 Reports from representatives on outside bodies and working groups

32/25.1 BDSSA

Cllr Kenworthy reported plans are being drawn up for submission to planning permission

32/25 Correspondence

All correspondence has been previously circulated. The following had been received:

  • Cumberland Ward Boundaries
  • An email had been received that the tenant of Church View office giving notice of leaving. Clerk to advertise office available from1 September 2025
  • An email had been received that the cleaner was giving notice of leaving on 31 August 2025. The Clerk to advertise the job

33/24 Councillor Matters

  • Cllr Faulkner expressed concerns that the demolition of houses on Summerhill will reduce the housing stock in the village.

33/25 Next Meeting

The next meeting to be held at the Chapel Meeting Room Bootle on Wednesday 9 July 2025 at 7.30pm.
