Mr Melvin explained the process for the review of Traffic Orders. This is a 2 year process. Evidence is required to reduce the speed limit further. Mr Melville to provide a 5 week window for the monitoring of speed entering the village the south. Community to be encouraged to report near miss on the HiMs system, especially when entering leaving the sports ground.
Eskmeals — survey work being undertaken to place piles into corner (Stubbs Place). Design commission and costs to be undertaken.

93/24 District Councillor’s Report
Clir Pratt reported that the A595 works were running over and not due to be completed now until February 2025. Remedial patches to be reported where water stands. 2 sections of Whicham Valley to be re-laid due to poor tarmac mix. No work between 20/12/24 and 6/1/25. W/c 23/112 sections around Muncaster.
Corney Bridge to be replaced 2025.
Community Foundation some funding available for Warm Hubs
South Cumberland – funding still available for small local projects.
Cumberland Council are looking for sites for rural charging points. Suggested Bootle Station village Hall and the car park by the toilets.
Community Partnership- Chair’’s Honorarium — voted against
CALC Drop in session 20 November 7.30pm
Alexander House Meeting ¢.80 people attended. A working group to be set up looking for an independent investor to purchase the property.

Clir Kenworthy reported that a meeting with LDNP/CC representatives had been undertaken re the route. Cumberland to provide 1k tons of road planings for the surface. Clir Pratt to pursue. LDNP to manage and use labour force and contact land owners. Question whether original £50k enough. Council to feedback to planning that access across site should be made available in line with completion of the hub. To be installed by end of 2025.
Swimming pool slot to be requested for Waberthwaite and Bootle schools and residents of Bootle Parish,

Cumberland offering an asset transfer. PC not willing to accept unless re tarmacked and drains sorted.

97/24.1 BDSSA – Clir Kenworthy reported that the main issue is the proposed new speed limit which may impact on the design for the new entrance. Working group continuing with developing submissions.
